NCG is seeking a full-time business relationship manager to develop and manage business-to-business technology relationships and programs designed to support the success of NCG retail food co-ops.

The preferred candidate will have significant previous experience in developing and managing technology programs for the retail environment, experience with negotiating purchase and service level agreements with technology solution providers, and a track record of working with providers to design and implement processes that strengthen partnerships and improve service supporting the retail environment.  Additionally preferred candidates will have experience in designing and implementing eCommerce solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Program development and management
  • Contract negotiations and management
  • Prioritization of strategic opportunities
  • Evaluation of potential partners' alignment with a triple bottom line and comprehensive value orientation
  • Management of complex, large-scale business relationships and programs
  • Identification of trending deficiencies and ability to design system-based solutions to diminish the root cause

Qualifications:

  • Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable; ability to change direction in support of shifting circumstances and priorities
  • Excellent project and self-management abilities
  • Willingness to take on situational informal leadership roles
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and the success of values-driven community owned food co-ops. Orientation toward building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with NCG's partners.
  • Collaborative nature
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Refined ability to manage varied types of interpersonal and group engagements
  • Strong Microsoft Office, analytical and business math skills
  • Experience in design and implementation of eCommerce solutions preferred
  • Experienced user of POS and other retail technology (e.g. electronic payment card processing, in-aisle ordering, in-store surveillance) preferred
  • Experience as a business manager in a technology organization a plus
  • Sense of humor a plus
  • The position requires a willingness to travel monthly
